Sorry for the lack of updates!
November 14, Emma was baptised in to her new Christian life. We chose Corey's aunt and uncle, Todd & Bryn. They are some of the best people we know! Not only are they his aunt and uncle that we feel the closest to, but they are always so willing to help us with anything we need; they would do anything for anyone and we know they are the perfect choice for Baby Emma. After service, we had the family to our house for lunch and unfortunately the Vikings disappointed us again :(
She has become a fussier baby and I have noticed that she sounds like she has air in her belly and she seems to be spitting up a lot more frequently. Sometimes she spits up right after she eats and sometimes its hours later. We are burping her enough and so I know that isn't the issue. I have talked to some people and they mentioned acid reflux, which all the symptoms line up with. The last two days she hasn't been able to sleep for longer than 20/30 minutes during the day and then about 2 hours at night. I have been sleeping next to her on the couch because the way she has been gurgling and gagging worries me and I prefer to sleep next to her than wake up constantly and want to check on her. We went to the doctor today because she just seems so uncomfortable and cries a lot-she thought it could be reflux as well. She said there isn't any test its just trial and error-that is easier said than done! My nephews and one of my nieces had a milk (formula) allergy and also had the same symptoms as Emma..so that is another possibility. We are testing her for allergies this week..so I will keep you posted on that. She may also have too slow of a nipple, inadequate bottles, oh and the list goes on. Being a mom is hard work at times!
At the doctor we found out that she is 12 lbs and 13 ounces, our healthy girl has really grown! Here are some updated pictures!
This bib was a present from Grandma Lisa and so we thought we would show it off. Of the four pictures I took this is the only one where she isn't cross-eyed!
This picture was taken today--with the shirt my sister gave her. Once she grows out of this one we have the same one size 6 mo, 9 mo, and 12 mo. Yes, she thinks she is funny!
..and a happy smile! She doesn't smile "on-cue" but every now and then we get a few big ones :)
She is SUCH a doll!!!...Have you considered the Chiropractor? worked like a gem for us. Ours was fussy too.
ReplyDeleteI saw you took her once...we didn't see results until a few consistent visits...we took him 2 times a week for about a month. now's he's GREAT! Hope it gets better!
