Emma is doing well, still has the spit up issue, but otherwise good. It's amazing how fast she is growing and changing. I feel like one day I talk about something and the next day (and day after and day after) all of a sudden it changes. Example: her sleeping. We were sleeping through the nights together on the recliner. Then, I got some advice from a friend saying that I should put her in her crib and then rub her back to put her back to sleep. Well, needless to say that night I put her in her crib and she didn't even wake up like she normally does when we move her. She ended up sleeping for 7.5 hours straight in her crib. The next day, she napped in her crib and we had to wake her up on 2 different occasions so she wouldn't completely sleep the day away (and we had errands to run). So now, just like that, she is a crib sleeper. We put her on her stomach because we know that is her preference and we are all right with that. She has been sleeping on her tummy since Day 1.
Reflux/vomitting--this seems to get better and then go back to bad again. It is so hard and frustrating. Even though I did not want to medicate her I have been giving her the medicine on schedule for 3 days, and trying to give it a real chance. It hasn't worked completely but there are times it seems to.
I return to work next Monday, Dec 13. In many ways I look forward to it and am anxious for it!! the downside is I am still multiple pounds away from fitting comfortably in to my closet so clothing selection may take up a lot of time in the morning.
Here are some updated pictures of Emma--she is getting so big! :) She wears 0-3 months in some clothes and 3-6 in others...ya she is almost 2 months old ..we love our chunky monkey. Some of these pics make her look really chunky and that is ok :)
Exhibit A on Chunki-ness :) She just got done taking a bath with me..yes she pee'd on my leg but I didn't care.
I'm not sure what's making me laugh more....The fact that he needs a towel around his face to change his daughter's diaper, or that Zubaz are making a comeback!!! Either way, that pic is priceless!
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love the Zubaz!! They were a Christmas gift last year he wears them all the time!
ReplyDeleteyeah... noticed the Zubaz before the face mask... :)
